67 Although mostly comprised of miombo woodlands with trees of the Brachystegia genus, baobab trees ( Adansonia digitata ) are ubiquitous in the Zambezi River Basin, inter-spaced with grasslands. The baobab bark is eaten by elephants, and people eat the tree’s fruit and leaves.
