Cameroon

Water resources Cameroon has three climatic zones with rainfall gradually increasing from north to south. The country’s annual rainfall is 1,604 mm, with a per capita water availability of roughly 42.7 m 3 /year (AMCOW 2018; FAO 2016). The country’s aqueduct water stress for all sectors measured in 2010 was 0.01 and is projected to remain the same by 2040 (Luo et al. 2015). A score of 0.01 indicates that there is low competition among water users relative to available surface- water resources.
