In 2000, 15% of the region was significantly disturbed as grazing land for reindeer. With continued infrastructure de- velopment using current growth rates, this figure will increase to 25% by 2030 (figure 6a), or with 30% assuming increased petroleum development (figure 6b). Scenario b) means that an additional 21 000 km 2 will be significantly reduced in value as reindeer grazing grounds compared to scenario a).
