1. The ninth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention in May 2019 listed two more chemicals – dicofol and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and PFOA- related compounds. These additions will bring the number of POPs subject to the Stockholm Convention to 30. 2. The ninth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention in May 2019 added two new chemicals, the pesticide phorate and the industrial chemical hexabromocyclododecane, to Annex III of the conventionmaking them subject to the PIC procedure, through which countries can decide on future imports of these chemicals. 3. Tributyl tin compounds are listed as both pesticides and industrial chemicals in Annex III, hence Parties are obliged to submit Import responses for both categories of the same chemical in different use categories.
