The external funding included UNEP was in total 60% higher than budgeted in 2009.

All programs were able to raise significantly funding from UNEP by entering into various Small Scale Framework Agreements (SSFA).

Unforeseen extra funding from MoE through UNEP for GAIN and Alpine Glaciers project received (MNOK 1,8 total: MNOK 1 for GAIN and MNOK 0,8 for glaciers). An additional MNOK 2,5 was raised from AusAid in 2009 for extended continental shelf work in the Pacific. This funding did not go through GRID- Arendal so it is not included in the table.
