4.5 Conclusions This GEO-6 assessment offers opportunities to identify cross- cutting issues as entry points for further understanding the state of the global environment. By exploring the 12 cross- cutting issues and how they relate to the Earth system topics, GEO can demonstrate where intersections and nexus issues will need synergistic solutions with the objective of achieving true transformative change.
