Final Report on the Framework Agreement for 2008–2009
5. Implementation indicators The implementation of the work programme was evaluated based on the agreed set of performance indicators. The Marine Programme demonstrated excellent efficiency in delivering the planned outputs, especially in the continental shelf related activities of the UNEP Shelf Programme and has by far exceeded the planned figures mostly due to the high demand for information from, and assistance to coastal and small island developing states. However the continued focus on extended continental shelf activities has led to slower than planned implementation of some of the other marine activities. The Regional Field Programme has delivered all outputs as planned. In 2 activities: the number of countries supported and the number of outreach packages produced the planned numbers were exceeded, due to higher demand for support from countries. The Polar and Cryosphere Programme fully implemented all planned outputs except for one. A set of outreach materials on nature and scope of impacts will be completed in the first quarter of 2010.
