Strengthening Information Management and Reporting on the Environment and Sustainable Development for North West Russia and Belarus. A workshop on strengthening the production, dissemination and use of environmental informa- tion in the oblasts of North-West Russia and Belarus was held in Moscow. Environment and Industry Seminar. GRID-Arendal hosted a seminar on global challenges in climate change, environmental reporting and ethics. Among the participants were the Director of UNEP/Division of Technology, Industry and Economics (DTIE), Jacqueline Aloisi de Larderel, and the Managing Direc- tor of NHO (Confederation of Norwegian Business and Indus- try), Finn Bergesen. GRID-Arendal presented the Vital Climate Graphics package at a side event on Training, Education and Public Awareness during the COP6 conference. Multicasting over Mercure. UIC hosted a seminar on Multi- casting. Lectures were given by six experts from The Nether- lands and Belgium (ESA, University of Salzburg and National Space Laboratory). Representatives from the Arendal IT com- munity attended the seminar. GRID-Arendal 27/9. Global Environmental Information Network. GRID-Arendal participated in the UNEP/DEWA workshop to establish a pro- totype of UNEP.Net, UNEP's Global Environmental Informa- tion Network. Redlands, California, 25/9 - 4/10. www.unep.net EuroGRID. The 4th EuroGRID meeting was held in conjunc- tion with this workshop and arranged by GRID-Arendal. DEWA's director met with the directors of GRID centres from Arendal, Geneva, Poland and Tbilisi.
